Cabane de Couledoux
Cabane de Couledoux is an unstaffed pastoral hut (cabane pastorale) in the French Pyrenees, used for open, first-come shelter on the Tour du Biros at the west foot of Col des Morères. It’s a small cabin-type shelter designed to sleep up to 4 people, with a wooden bed, table and benches, and a mezzanine with a sound plank floor; there is also a fireplace inside.
The interior equipment includes 1 table, 2 benches, 1 wooden bed with an older mattress, 1 fireplace, and 1 mezzanine. A captured spring feeds a small tank/baquet a short distance below the hut, and continuing westward along the Tour du Biros you pass a small trickle/flow before entering the woods. The hut has no stove (so plan for cooking without a dedicated stove).
