Cabane de Coumebière

Cabane de Coumebière is an unstaffed stone shelter in the French Pyrenees, used for overnight stays by hikers passing through the area around the GR10. The refuge is open to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation process.

Inside, it has a wooden sleeping platform (bat-flanc) and a fireplace/cheminée. A capacity of about 4 people is given, and it’s an older cabin with a sheet-metal roof; it does not have running water or electricity.

Access is close to the GR10 and the D8F, with the shelter set in a clearing with ferns. A water source (fountain) is typically available roughly 200 m away near the parking area.
