cabane de la grave
Cabane de la Grave is an unstaffed backcountry hut in the French Pyrenees (at 2,149 m). It’s a free, first-come first-served shelter with room for about 6 people on basic sleeping platforms/bunks.
The hut has a large table and seating plus a couple of covered sleeping areas with space for about 6 mattresses/bunks. There’s no heating (no fireplace/wood stove), no mattresses are provided, and there’s no running water inside; plan to fetch water nearby. Use is practical for overnight stops on the GR10 / GRP Tour du Carlit and Tour des Pérics route system: the hut is about 180 m south of the GR10 and is accessible even though it sits just off the marked trail.
