Cabane de la Hille de l'Étang Ars - Ustou

Cabane de la Hille de l'Étang Ars - Ustou is a small, open backcountry shelter at 1,695 m in the Ars–Ustou sector near Aulus-les-Bains. It’s used by local fishermen and is kept open for drop-in stays rather than managed by a reservation system.

The cabin has space for about 6 people, with two large wooden sleeping platforms (“bat-flancs”) and mattresses, plus a table and two benches. There’s a wood stove (no fireplace), and it’s is being operational with a new roof and working stove; bring your own warm sleep setup and plan to manage your own heating and supplies.
