Cabane de la Jasse d'Appy
Cabane de la Jasse d'Appy is an unmanaged backcountry shelter at 1740 m near Appy in the Ariège. It’s set up for a small group and is primarily a place to sleep on sleeping platforms rather than a staffed refuge. Interior arrangements include a wooden sleeping ledge sized for about 3 mattresses and a simple seating set plus a table.
The cabin has a fireplace/cheminée for making a fire, but there’s no stove. Typical sleeping provision is very limited; expect to bring your own sleeping setup. Use is free, and there’s no reservation—plan on first-come, first-served use; if the hut is full you may need a backup option nearby.
