Cabane de la Jasse d'Artaran

Cabane de la Jasse d'Artaran is a small, unmanaged backcountry hut on the GR 10 near the Plateau de Beille in the French Pyrenees. It’s set at about 1695 m and is oriented for short stays by hikers moving through the pass—plan on bringing your own bedding for sleep.

The hut is renovated and has sleeping space for 4 people (4 mattresses). Inside, there is a table and bench area and a large bunk bed for those 4; there is no fireplace or stove. The hut is typically open only in summer, with the free-access section running roughly from 15 June to 15 September; a second enclosed compartment is available only with prior authorization from the commune of Verdun. Use is free, and you’re expected to follow Leave No Trace practices—pack out all waste.
