Cabane de la Jasse des Esquers du Dessous

Cabane de la Jasse des Esquers du Dessous is a non-staffed backcountry shelter in the French Pyrenees (Haute-Ariège), used as a simple overnight stop for hikers. It’s a small hut (capacity for 3 in both summer and winter) set low in a valley, in a humid clearing.

Inside, it has a fireplace/cheminée and enough basic provisions for “minimum vital” stops, with wood and water available nearby. The sleeping platform is based on cement bat-flanc with foam mattresses, and the hut is open first-come, first-served with no reservation process.
