Cabane de la Lanne

Cabane de la Lanne is a free, non-staffed backcountry shelter in the French Pyrenees at about 1,840 m. It sleeps 8 on short bunks spread across 2 rooms, with simple interior gear including a table and bench, a petroleum lamp, and a fireplace in the back room.

The shelter is semi-subterranean and sits right by the path climbing toward Port de Salau (east side). There’s no running water; even nearby sources may be dry in late season, so plan to carry what you need. Use is first-come, first-served with no reservation system, and there are no trash bins—carry out all waste.
