Cabane de l'Ermite

Cabane de l'Ermite is a small, unstaffed stone-and-wood hikers’ shelter in the French Pyrenees (Donezan massif, Ariège). It’s a simple refuge option with 4 sleeping spaces—use it as a first-come stop rather than a place you can secure in advance.

Inside, the cabin is equipped with 1 table, benches, a fireplace, and 2 wooden sleeping platforms (bat-flanc). The cabin is restored/open for use and is at an elevation of about 1924 m; bring what you need for a night in a non-guaranteed shelter (especially if you arrive when it’s already full).
