Cabane de l'Étang d'Araing - Castillonais

Cabane de l'Étang d'Araing - Castillonais is a backcountry refuge with capacity for 12 people, set at 1,915 m. The building is one level and has a fireplace; it does not have a stove.

Inside the refuge (notes from a 2020 update) there’s one table and several benches, plus a large chimney. Upstairs it has a floor in very good condition with two mattresses that can be used in addition to bringing sleeping gear. A winter room is a nearby 12-bed unguarded winter shelter that may require prior registration through the caretaker at the main refuge.
