Cabane de l'Orry

Cabane de l'Orry is a non-guarded backcountry shelter on the GR10 between Mont-Louis and la Carança, used by hikers as a simple overnight stop rather than a staffed refuge. It sits at 1810 m and sleeps up to 8 people on stone ledges (bas-flancs), with a separate room used for a wood reserve.

Inside, there is a fireplace (wood) but no stove. Water is available within about 100 m, while there are no latrines and no mattress/blanket set provided there, so plan for what you need to sleep (bring your own gear/bedding). The shelter’s capacity is 8, and the interior is partially shared with a shepherd during season.
