Cabane de Mille
Cabane de Mille is a backcountry cabin used for overnight stays on the Tour des Combins. It’s a two-storey hut in a remote alpine setting, with sleeping arranged in shared dormitories.
Reservations are required to stay at the hut, and you can change a booking once (date or group size) using your reservation reference. Evening meals are served at 6:30 PM and breakfast is a buffet from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM; dormitories must be cleared by 9:00 AM for cleaning. A sheet-bag (sleeping bag liner) and pillowcase are compulsory, and indoor slippers are provided (sizes 26 to 46). Towels and soap aren’t provided, and you can’t cook in the hut; take your rubbish with you and plan picnics in advance. Dogs aren’t allowed inside the building (a kennel is provided outside). A hot shower is available for CHF 5 (3 minutes, subject to water). The booking deposit is CHF 20 per person and isn’t refundable; payments are handled by cash or card in the morning before departure, with euros accepted as banknotes with change in Swiss francs.
