Cabane de Plan Richard

Cabane de Plan Richard is an unmanaged mountain hut in the Lauzière massif (Savoie, France), set above Épierre at about 1,390 m. It’s managed by ONF and is a first-come, first-served stop for passing hikers rather than a place with a reservation system.

Inside, the hut is set up for sleeping for up to 4 people on mattresses, with access to cooking equipment including a stove plus a gas hotplate (with no bottle/connector). There’s also wood available on site, a table and chairs, and tools for wood work; water can be found at the nearby Fontaine de Plan Richard (about 15 m from the hut), and there are latrines.
