Cabane de Prat Redoun

Cabane de Prat Redoun is a small backcountry, unstaffed shelter in the French Pyrenees (capacity 6). It was fully renovated in 2014 and is well insulated, with basic furnishing (table and metal stools) plus photovoltaic lighting and a fireplace for heat and cooking use.

Inside you’ll find built-in essentials for a comfortable stop: a table setting (dishware), metallic sleeping supports (“bat-flanc”) and six mattress sleeping places. There’s no stove. Water is available nearby in a nearby stream/flow, but firewood isn’t close by, so plan on bringing fuel; during early hunting season for isard (typically a three-week period in Sept. /Oct.), the hut can be occupied by hunters, affecting availability.
