Cabane de Sausses

Cabane de Sausses is an unstaffed, free-access backcountry mountain shelter at about 1,917 m in the Mercantour area. Use is on a first-come, first-served basis, so plan to be fully self-sufficient once you reach the hut.

It’s a very basic, rustic shelter intended for emergency or stopover use; come prepared with your own sleeping gear, food, and water. There’s no booking or official reservation system tied to the shelter, and no host services to rely on during your stay.
