Cabane de Tachouère

Cabane de Tachouère is a very small, open backcountry berger’s hut at 890 m in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques near Asson (above Col d'Isou). It’s intended for basic overnight use by hikers passing through, with room for just one person.

The shelter is rudimentary: a single place to sleep, a makeshift fireplace/stone hearth, and a metal bed frame, plus a few tools. Water is available a short walk from the hut, and wood is around in the surrounding forest; the hut is unstaffed and works on a first-come, first-served basis with no booking.
