Cabane des Cornaches

Cabane des Cornaches is an unmanaged alpine hut in the Beaufortain Alps at 1,810 m. It’s a small, basic stop for sleeping and cooking, with about 9 beds and a layout that’s split into two interior areas separated by a wall that doesn’t go up to the roof.

Inside, you’ll find three sets of superposed mattresses (total 9 places) and a large fireplace/cheminée for heat and cooking, plus a table with benches and basic utensils (scies/wood-sawing tools and a broom are). Drinking water comes from the nearby Source des Cornaches and is considered seasonal; plan to treat water and be self-sufficient because the hut is not staffed and does not accept reservations (first-come, first-served).
