Cabane des Estables

Cabane des Estables is an unstaffed mountain hut in the Massif du Canigou area (1800 m) with space for up to 8 overnight guests; 3 mattresses are available. It is equipped with a stove, and a water source is available nearby (but the local fountain can freeze in winter).

Use runs into a seasonal restriction: the hut is occupied by a shepherd from May to October (closed to the public during that period, except in extreme emergency). Inside you’ll find basic fixed furniture (table and benches), and wood is available nearby in the forest around 200 m from the hut.
