Cabane des Ludines

Cabane des Ludines (also known as Orri des Ludines) is an unstaffed mountain shelter in the Ariège area of the French Pyrenees, used as a free-access backcountry refuge. It’s a solid, well-insulated building at about 1,630 m, typically used in the hiking season (June to October) depending on snow.

Inside, it provides sleeping platforms for up to 6 people (and can be more tightly packed), plus multiple foam sleeping pads; there’s a table, seating, and a working fireplace. Wood is available on-site, but bringing your own food is expected since there’s no staff service.

Use is first-come, first-served: there’s no booking or payment required. Bring your sleeping bag and plan to carry out all trash, leaving the cabin clean for the next visitors.
