Cabane des Morères

Cabane des Morères is a free, non-staffed backcountry cabin on the Tour du Biros (about 1452 m). It’s set up for self-reliant overnights for up to 4 people, and use follows a first-come, first-served approach—no reservations are required or accepted.

Inside, you’ll find a small table and benches, with an additional bench piece that can serve as a sleeping flanks, plus a “mini” stove without a smoke outlet. There are sleeping spaces upstairs with a floor in good condition; there are no blankets, no fireplace, and the hut has no latrines. For night use, plan to bring your own sleeping pad and bag, and use water carefully—there’s water within about 100 m, but you should still treat it before drinking.
