Cabane des Mulets

Cabane des Mulets is a backcountry shepherd’s hut in Seyne-les-Alpes, France, used in the context of grazing (“estive”) rather than as a dedicated, bookable overnight refuge. The hut can be visited on summer hiking trips, and part of the structure is available for hikers to spend the night.

Use is free, and it has capacity for about 20 people. There’s an outhouse available, and contact is via info@seynelesalpes.fr. Access is on foot from about April through October, centered on the Maure area; common approach routes start from near Maure and continue up through forest and pastoral terrain toward the hut.
