Cabane du Besset

Cabane du Besset is a small, unmanaged backcountry shelter in the French Pyrenees, used by hikers as a basic storm refuge. It is set for first-come use with no reservation process, and it has a fireplace/cheminée for warmth.

The shelter sleeps up to 4 people. Inside you’ll find a pair of stacked low sleeping platforms (bas-flancs) with short mattresses (3 matelas) plus 7 chairs and a foldable table; for water, there is a source directly in front of the cabin. The elevation is about 1600 m.
