Cabane du Caillou de Soques

Cabane du Caillou de Soques is a small, unmanaged backcountry stone shelter for hikers, set near the valley road. It’s designed for short stays—sleeping space is for about 6 people—and it’s open to hikers year-round on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations).

Expect a very basic interior and damp conditions: it’s is humid, with broken windows, and very limited comforts (no stove). The shelter includes a fireplace, and a number of spare items are on site (including spring mattresses/platforms). Use it as weather protection, not as a comfortable refuge.
