Cabane du Cambeilh
Cabane du Cambeilh is an open backcountry shelter in the French Pyrenees, above Eaux-Chaudes.
The hut is large enough for about 12 people in summer (capacity for both summer and winter), with sleeping platforms/bat-flancs and mattresses. Expect basic built-in shelter with a fireplace (wood is available on site) plus a table; there is also a water source near the first drinking point/abreuvoir level inside the hut area.
Access is typically from the thermal village of Eaux-Chaudes, with a trip time of roughly 3 hours to reach the hut (from Eaux-Chaudes’ parking in common routes). Plan as for an unmanaged shelter: bring your own food and any personal gear, and follow low-impact rules—space is not reservable, and you should leave the area clean.
