Cabane du Mouscadou

Cabane du Mouscadou is a small backcountry hut at 1,695 m in the French Pyrenees (Haute Ariège). It’s a cabane non gardée—there’s no caretaker—so plan on self-reliant overnight use with first-come, first-served sleeping space.

Inside, it’s equipped with a fireplace (poêle/cheminée) and bedding: capacity is for 3 people sleeping on mattresses. A water source is available nearby; expect to reach it by continuing uphill on the marked path, with a nearby stream within about 5 minutes on foot.
