Cabane du Pasquier
Cabane du Pasquier is a small backcountry pastoral cabin in the French Alps (2112m–2212m range). It’s primarily reserved for shepherds during the estive (grazing) season, but it’s generally available for hikers when the shepherd is not using it. Use is not staffed and is free; occupancy is first-come, first-served when it’s open.
The cabin sleeps up to 6 people. It’s equipped with a wood-burning stove, real mattresses, and solar-powered electricity, plus cooking/meal items (covers/plates and saucepans/cookpots). A fireplace is not provided.
