Cabane du Pâtre

Cabane du Pâtre is a small, unstaffed backcountry shelter in the Béarn Pyrenees, under the Col d’Aubisque on the estive of Soum de Grum, used as a free safety refuge by walkers. It sleeps 4 and is open all year.

Inside, there’s a table, benches, a wooden sleeping platform (bat-flanc), and a wood stove; there is also a nearby water source. Use is on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation process described for this shelter; plan to self-support for your stay and bring what you’ll need beyond the basic shelter equipment.
