Cabane du Pinatell

Cabane du Pinatell (also known as Abri du Pinatell) is a free, unstaffed mountain refuge on the GR10 and HRP around 1650 m in the Canigó massif. It was fully rebuilt and provides sleeping for up to 10 people, with a wood stove plus a table and benches for meals.

Inside, you’ll find gear for handling firewood (saw and axe). The water point is close by the hut. It has a fireplace/wood stove but no toilets are provided.

Use here is strongly discouraged for anyone trying to sleep inside: past users report bedbug infestations, and there are been periods where the refuge was kept closed due to bedbugs. If you plan to stop, be prepared for the possibility that it’s only suitable for a brief break rather than overnight use.
