Cabane du Sol del Bosc
Cabane du Sol del Bosc is a small unguided mountain shelter (cabane non gardée) in the Sabarthès area of the French Pyrenees (Ariège) at about 1,280 m. It’s managed locally and designed for walk-in backcountry stays: use follows a strict first-come, first-served approach with no advance booking.
Inside, the hut has a capacity for 3 people sleeping on mattresses. A chimney is provided, and there’s water available within about 100 m (nearby spring/water source). the hut is an old forest house built in 1909, later restored and reopened, with interior furnishings including tables/chairs and two mattresses (plus solar lighting for about 8 hours).
Access is from the forest track that climbs from Norgeat to the Fontaine de Millaoux and the Rocher de Miglos; the cabane sits at the edge of that forest path.
