Cabane du Trapech d'en haut
Cabane du Trapech d'en haut is a free, unstaffed mountain shelter used for overnights in the French Pyrenees. It is not a reservable refuge: plan on it being first-come, first-served, and carry a tent or bivy as backup in case it’s already full.
The hut has very limited facilities—no stove or fireplace is provided, and there’s no electricity, running water, or toilets. The building was restored in 2012, but it wasn’t expanded; it also serves in part as a storage space, so it’s a practical emergency stop rather than a full-service refuge. The elevation is about 1,728 m.
