Cabane du Troun d'Ars

Cabane du Troun d'Ars is a non-gardé backcountry hut in the French Pyrenees, set above the Cascade d'Ars at about 1,824 m. Use is free and there’s no booking system—sleeping is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Inside, the hut is equipped for self-catering: 5 sleeping places with mattresses, a central table, four stools, and a gas stove plus a grill. A wood stove is provided for heating, and there’s a small kitchen setup (cooking utensils). Bring your own food and sleeping bag, and pack out all trash; there are also nearby water sources, but you should be prepared to treat water and verify flow before drinking.
