Cayolar d'Harpea

Cayolar d’Harpea (also known as Harpia) is a non-guarded backcountry shelter in the Basque Pyrenees, close to the Harpea cave used historically as an animal shelter and refuge during transhumance. It’s an open hut with a wood stove and wood and water available locally; typical sleeping capacity is 8 in both summer and winter.

Plan it as a self-sufficient overnight stop: being non-guarded, arrive ready to manage your own supplies and use the hut’s stove.
