Chalet de Barbeloup

Chalet de Barbeloup is an unstaffed alpine refuge (capacity 8) at 1695 m. It’s intended for self-sufficient backcountry use, with a wood stove for cooking/heating and basic furnishings including a table and sleeping places on mattresses.

Access is permissive year-round in general, but in summer the chalet may be occupied by a shepherd and can become inaccessible. Drinking water is seasonal, and there’s no running water and no toilets—plan on treating whatever water you collect. Expect limited insulation and no electricity, so winter use is more demanding.
