Chalet de Bélué

Chalet de Bélué is a free backcountry forest refuge near Rupt-sur-Moselle, typically reached on foot via forest trails. It’s open to all hikers on a first-come, first-served basis, with no reservation system.

The chalet sleeps up to 6 on bunk beds and includes basic indoor furnishings (tables) plus a wood stove. The cooking stove has a very small firebox, so you’ll want to bring your own sleeping bag and food; plan on limited utilities, with no running water or electricity. Bring tools for woodwork and expect that wood may be wet—small saw and hatchet are practical.
