Chalet de la Lanche

Chalet de la Lanche is an unstaffed backcountry shelter at 1,772 m in the Massif de la Lauzière. It’s a free-access cabin for overnight stays, set up for small groups (about 3–4 sleepers on the mezzanine mattresses).

Bring everything you need for an overnight because the shelter is basic: there’s a wood stove for heat, but no electricity or running water, and the nearest water source is a seasonal stream. Expect limited facilities and plan to manage light and sleeping gear yourself; there are no toilets at the hut.
