Chalet des Baigneux

Chalet des Baigneux is a backcountry forest hut in the Ménil area, operated by the Mairie du Ménil. It’s an unguided refuge for hikers, and it’s kept open to the public without a booking system through the town hall.

Built in 1992–1993 by the local hunting society, it was placed near a spring. The hut has a wood stove (“quatre pots”) along with tables and benches; overnight use is governed by the forest authority rules (permitted only in danger or urgent necessity).
