Chalet des Vaudés

Chalet des Vaudés is a non-guarded mountain refuge at 955 m in the Vosges area. Use is free and it’s an open, first-come-first-served stop for hikers; there’s no reservation system.

Inside, there are two tables set up in an L shape that can accommodate about a dozen people. There’s a wood stove; sleeping gear isn’t provided, and there’s no running water. Outside, there’s an additional table with benches for small groups, and a nearby stream runs alongside the forest road.
