Chalet forestier de Rhonne

Chalet forestier de Rhonne is a non-staffed forest shelter in the Savoie area near Albertville. It’s managed by ONF (Office National des Forêts) in Albertville and is intended for short stays or emergency use rather than a reservation-style refuge.

The quickest approach starts at the parking at the end of the Route forestière de Rhonne (near the couloir de la Pierre du Mort). From there, a marked discovery path leads west to a forest track that reaches the chalet.

Use near the shelter is centered on basic facilities: an outhouse is present, and there is water within 100 m. The immediate area also includes a small pond/mare, a fountain, and a picnic area; two nearby annexes are kept locked after vandalism.
