Chalet-Refuge CAF de Gourette

Chalet-Refuge CAF de Gourette is a Club Alpin Français backcountry hut at 1350 m in the Pyrenees, run by resident wardens María Lapesa Lazaro and Eva Maria Garcia Porcar. The hut is set under the ski area at Gourette and is laid out for groups with 32 sleeping places in collective dormitories of 6, 8, and 12 beds.

It is open from mid-December to mid-April in winter, and from mid-June to the end of September in summer (with no winter shelter). Booking is handled online or by calling the hut directly, and the stay includes half-board; the hut also offers boxed lunch takeaways or hot meals on request (with reservation), plus a bar service in the late afternoon until dinner. The chalet sits at the end of the GR10 Gabas–Gourette stage.
