Chalet Refuge de Coutarse

Chalet Refuge de Coutarse is a alpine hut in France at about 1604 m. It is best planned as a self-sufficient stopover rather than a staffed lodging service.

Treat the hut as a basic backcountry shelter with limited services. Bring a sleeping bag, food, lighting, a first-aid kit, water or a treatment method, toilet paper, and pack-out bags; add stove/fuel and cold-weather or avalanche equipment when the season and terrain require it.
