Chalet Spiller

Chalet Spiller is an unstaffed forest hut in the Ballons des Vosges area near Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle, France. It’s set up for short stops—take a break and eat—rather than a long stay, and it includes a wood-burning fireplace plus basic seating (benches and tables).

Because it’s unguarded, plan to be self-sufficient: bring your own food, sleeping gear, and emergency supplies, and leave the hut as you found it (pack out trash and take care with the wood supply). The hut is also used as a resting point along regional hiking circuits, including the “Giants Circuit” and “Grand Ventron” networks.
