Coquitlam Cliffs - Buddha Wall

Buddha Wall is the central-right sector of the four-tiered Coquitlam Cliffs, with 13 routes combining sport and traditional protection. The wall faces southeast and the routes are generally approached and climbed as single pitches, with some options for continuing upward through the stacked cliff system.

From left to right, the sector offers Brush with Death (5.10c mixed), Quarantine Crack (5.10c–11- mixed), Mighty Joe (5.10b–11- mixed), and Monkey Muscle/Monkey Face (5.10b mixed). These lines reach roughly 25–28 metres and use combinations of bolts and trad gear, with rap-ring anchors described for each route.

The area is still developing: grades are provisional, rock can be loose, and some leads are runout. Top-roping first is recommended, with a helmet and careful rock assessment. Access is not sanctioned; keep a low profile around street parking, stay on established paths, and pack out litter.
