Coquitlam Cliffs - Wizards Wall

Loading map…

Wizards Wall is the upper tier of the four-wall Coquitlam Cliffs climbing area, with a southeast-facing wall and two documented lines: Dirtius Crackus (5.7 trad) and Smell Spell (5.9 sport). The sector combines traditional and sport climbing, with both routes sharing rap-ring anchors.

Dirtius Crackus follows the deep dihedral and continues up the right wall to an anchor; it is about 18 m long and takes traditional protection from small gear to 3 inches. Smell Spell moves from the dihedral across the arete onto the face, with five bolts over approximately 20 m; climbing above the anchor adds a 5.10 slab move before a tree belay. The area is new, with loose rock and some runout leading, so helmets and careful route assessment are essential. Street parking and general access are requested to remain discreet, and climbers are asked to stay on established paths and pack out litter.
