Dennett Lake Bluffs

Dennett Lake Bluffs is a compact climbing area in Pinecone Burke Provincial Park, reached along the Dennett Lake via Munro Lake Trail. The approach route is a moderate one-way hike of about 4.5 km with 861 m of elevation gain.

The area has a mix of trad, sport, and top-rope climbing, with documented grades from 5.4 to 5.10c. Terraformer is a 5.8+ sport/top-rope line, 11 m long, protected by four bolts with top-rope protection; its main difficulty is roughly 3 m above the ground before easing toward the top.

Dennett Bluffs is also used for dry tooling and mixed-climbing preparation ahead of ice season. Dry-tooling sessions require a helmet, crampons, ice tools without adzes, harness, and belay device, and involve rock-climbing hazards along with added injury risk from sharp tools and crampons.
