Dennett Lake Bluffs

Loading map…

Dennett Lake Bluffs is a compact climbing area in Pinecone Burke Provincial Park with 10 listed routes spanning trad, sport, and top-rope climbing. The wall faces southeast, and the crag is reached via the Dennett Lake Trailhead.

Terraformer provides a representative short climb at 5.8+ YDS (11 m). Its main difficulty comes roughly 3 m above the ground, easing higher on the wall; four bolts are listed, with top-rope use also possible.

The area has also been used for dry tooling and mixed-climbing preparation. That activity is unguided and carries the usual fall, rockfall, and belay hazards, plus added injury potential from crampons and ice tools.
