Fowler-Hilliard Hut

Alpine hutFowler-Hilliard Hut is a wilderness backcountry hut owned and operated by the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association at 11,500 feet. The hut has a capacity of 16 people and requires reservations, with pricing listed as $40 per person/night (children 12 & under get 50% off).
On-site there’s a wood stove/heat system, a wood-burning fire ring, an outhouse, mattresses and pillows, and electricity via solar-powered lights. The hut is open in summer and winter; it has winter access via a main winter route up McCallister Gulch (a snow-covered road closed to motorized use in winter) with an additional U.S. Forest Service fee required for winter use (effective Thanksgiving through end of April; children 15 and under are free).
