Peter Estin Hut

Peter Estin Hut is a 10th Mountain Division backcountry hut (wilderness hut) with a capacity of 16 people. It’s run by the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association and reservations are required.

The hut is built for winter and summer use, has heat and a wood oven, and uses an outhouse toilet. There’s no shower and no sauna, and there is no fire ring; a wood-refrigeration system is available. The hut provides mattresses and pillows, and the kitchen setup includes cookware and basic dishware; fire-starting items and matches are part of what’s provided. Winter rates are $40 per person per night (children 12 and under get 50% off).
