Gîte des Garrotxes
Gîte des Garrotxes is a backcountry alpine hut used for overnight stays in the Tour du Mont Blanc area. It can be reserved directly with the refuge rather than through a single centralized booking system for every hut along the route.
For stays, you can reserve either a bed in the shared dormitory or a private apartment. Half-board is strongly recommended, and it can include dinner and breakfast, with the option to request a trail lunch for the next day. For planning logistics, summer 2026 reservations open on October 15, 2025, and the hut has a capacity listed at 19 guests. Changes and cancellations follow the platform rules used for Tour du Mont Blanc huts (date changes are allowed up to 48 hours before, and cancellations follow a 30-day cutoff for deposit refunds).
