Grizzly Hut
Grizzly Hut is a Rendezvous backcountry hut in Washington’s Methow Valley, built in 2007 in the Rendezvous basin. It’s set up for ski-in/ski-out use on the groomed Rendezvous Trail system and is a “late-winter favorite” for families and dog lovers.
The hut sleeps up to 10 guests on an exclusive-use basis, with typical group maxing around 8. Inside there’s a propane stove/oven plus a wood-burning stove, sleeping pads, and propane lighting with a solar lighting system; there’s also an outhouse. Plan on bringing bedding/sleeping bag and your own food—water is managed via freight hauling (including a 7-gallon jug) or you may need to boil/melt snow for some needs.
Dogs are permitted at Grizzly Hut. Rates are Sun–Thu $205 per night, Fri–Sat $245 per night, and $275 for holidays; a freight haul is available for $95 each way and includes gear/food/water. Freight-haul drop-off/pick-up timing is run through the Cub Creek Trailhead window, with self check-in starting at noon and check-out at 11am.
