Iwikau Lodge
Iwikau Lodge is an on-mountain backcountry lodge operated by Iwikau Ski Club at Iwikau Village on the Whakapapa ski field, used mainly by winter skiers and club members as ski accommodation.
For lodging at Iwikau and other Ruapehu club lodges, guests typically need their own sleeping bag, pillowslip, and towel. Bunk pricing for Iwikau is run by the club’s booking system (rates shown on the club booking rules page), with winter bookings operating on a first-come, first-served basis for the ski season; weekend stays at Iwikau follow the club’s rule that Friday and Saturday nights must be booked together unless midweek availability opens up.
Iwikau Lodge can be part of summer stays as well, with the club publishing summer booking rates for Iwikau Lodge per bed and a minimum group size for summer bookings.
